Career Journey: From Intern to Trainee Solicitor

Dilrua Dassanayake joined the Domestic Abuse Alliance through the Legal Champions Academy, beginning her journey with us as an intern.

Over two years, she progressed to Senior Caseworker, gaining hands-on experience supporting domestic abuse survivors and assisting with civil protection order applications.

Today, Dilrua has secured a Trainee Solicitor role at Milner Elledge – demonstrating how our Legal Champions Academy helps aspiring solicitors gain real-world experience and build a meaningful career in Family Law and domestic abuse protection
