Recent research carried out by the charity Victim Support has highlighted gaps in language support for victims of crime who speak English as a second language. This can mean they struggle to communicate important information to law enforcement or do not have the language support needed during crucial encounters with the criminal justice system. To help address these challenges, and ensure all victims of domestic abuse have access to language support, we provide access to interpretation and translation capabilities in over 200 spoken languages, either remotely or face to face, via WeTranslate. If a victim is eligible for legal aid then the cost for interpretation/translation may be met by the Legal Aid Agency. To find out more or to make an enquiry visit: https://www.we-translate.co.uk/.
